Tuesday 14.02.17 Value Bets

There are a wealth of Football League and Champions League fixtures this week, @PricePerceivers pick 4 value outright win bets ahead of Tuesday’s games.

Mansfield to beat Accrington:

Mansfield have won 6 of their last 7 league games and their last 4 at home. Steve Evans’ looks to be grinding out results and his experienced January acquisitions seem to be paying dividends. Last weekend’s win saw Mansfield move into a play-off spot and they will continue to look to plough there way up the table, closing the 6 point gap from the automatic promotion spots. Accrington sit just 3 points above the relegation zone and have lost 4 of their last 5 away games, failing to score on each occasion. Mansfield are priced above evens and this looks cracking value.

Plymouth to beat Leyton Orient:

Plymouth are 2nd in League Two, just 3 points behind Doncaster who travel to 3rd place Carlisle. Plymouth have won 4 of their last 5 home games including each of their last 3. Leyton Orient are currently in the relegation zone and have lost 6 of their last 7 league games and 4 of their last 5 away games. Plymouth at 4/6 looks a solid selection at a good value price.

Barcelona to beat PSG:

Barcelona look to have found another gear in recent weeks, closing the gap at the top of La Liga to 1 point and reaching the final of the Copa Del Rey. Last weekend Barcelona travelled to defensively sound Deportivo Alaves and dispatched of them 6-0. Barcelona have won 8 of their last 10 in all competitions, drawing the other two, one of which was the second leg of the Copa Del Rey semi-final where they were leading 2-1 after the first leg. Barcelona have won 3 of their last 5 away games, each of those wins were to nil and they have scored in every away game this season. PSG have won 9 of their 10 games since the winter break but Barcelona are priced above evens and are even 3/5 Draw no Bet with some bookies. These odds suggest value in any game featuring Barcelona given their players have the A-game to defeat any opposition.  PSG have kept just 2 clean sheet in their last 6 so it is difficult to see Barcelona failing to score.

Preston to beat Birmingham:

Preston have won 2 of their last 3 home games and have lost just 1 of their last 8 at home and 1 of their last 8 in the league more generally. Birmingham have lost 3 of their last 4 league games and 3 of their last 4 away games. Birmingham have failed to keep a clean sheet in any of their 6 away games under Zola, conceding 2 or more goals on 4 occasions. Preston can be found at 11/10 and this seems a generous price although Birmingham’s performances have improved of late.
